Godzilla: Legends
Underdog
Some time before he was recruited by the Kaiju Defense Force, Brian Anders worked on a ship aboard which he experimented with frequencies to attract whales, and one frequency attracted Godzilla. When he was pulled from the water he saw that Godzilla was now destroying a nearby city. The KDF then sent him to Zone 8 Kaiju Defense Force Research Facility to create a device using his frequency. Wishing to never set a monster on a city again, Anders instead worked on a frequency to repel kaiju rather than attract them. One day however, Destoroyah attacked the base, and Anders was called upon to use his G-Signaler to summon Godzilla to defeat it. Anders then tried to recreate his original frequency, which had been lost with his research when his ship sank, but it did nothing. While fleeing the base with Samantha Tagger, their Commanding Officer Colonel Matsumiya ordered them to leave him after some debris fell on him. When they got outside, they discovered that his frequency had attracted Anguirus. Anders then explained to Tagger that Anguirus was of no use to them, as he had lost every battle he had fought on record. Tagger than took Brian into the last plane on the base and began to fire on Destoroyah. This only took its attention from Anguirus and put it on their plane. Brian then informed Tagger that they could stop Destoroyah by freezing it with Freon stored in tanks on the base. He then confessed his deception to Tagger, and Matsumiya came on the radio to carry out Anders' plan for the Freon tanks with the tow cable on his helicopter. Destoroyah was ten frozen, and when it thawed it returned to the ocean. Matsumiya then congratulated Brian on creating a device to repel kaiju. As Anguirus swam out into the ocean, Godzilla appeared and passed up Anguirus to attack the base.
