Haruo Suzuki (鈴木治夫,   Suzuki Haruo) was a Japanese actor. Though he only typically appeared in bit parts, Suzuki was an extremely prolific film and television actor between 1952 and 1976, appearing in several films directed by Akira Kurosawa and Ishiro Honda, as well as television dramas airing on many of Japan's major networks. Suzuki made his debut in Kurosawa's critically-acclaimed film Ikiru in 1952, playing a receptionist, and went on to appear in countless Toho films, each time playing minor background characters and sometimes playing up to three roles in the same film. Suzuki was particularly prolific in tokusatsu productions, appearing in numerous kaiju and science fiction films for Toho as well as multiple episodes of Tsuburaya Productions' Ultra Series shows. Suzuki continued to act even after the decline of the Japanese film industry in the 1970's before finally retiring in 1976.
