khara, Inc. (株式会社カラー Kabushiki Gaisha Karā, stylized χαρα) is a Japanese film studio founded and owned by Hideaki Anno. It is most famous for its Rebuild of Evangelion (2007-2021) anime film series, which it wholly financed. Within the tokusatsu sphere, khara has also been involved with the three live action entries in Anno's Shin anthology series, creating the previz for Shin Godzilla (2016) and co-funding Shin Ultraman (2022) and Shin Kamen Rider (2023). Before then, it co-produced the tokusatsu short film A Giant God Warrior Descends on Tokyo (2012) for Studio Ghibli.
