Description

"The damn dirty crossover event you demanded! Following the events of the first Planet of the Apes film (1968), Dr. Zaius and General Ursus lead a small group of soldiers to the Forbidden Zone to destroy any remaining evidence of Taylor's time among them. To their surprise, they discover... A KONG! Now they must venture to Skull Island with Cornelius and Zira to discover the truth, but they may not survive the deadliest journey of their lives!"[1]

Plot

In the year 3978, after a time displaced human named Taylor destroyed the reputations of doctors Zira and Cornelius and threw the ape civilization into turmoil, Dr. Zaius lead a mission to destroy the remains of the Statue of Liberty in a ploy to keep ape-kind oblivious to the fact that they were living on a planet once dominated by humans. However, a gorilla soldier under the command of General Ursus came to fetch Zaius, who summoned doctors the disgraced Zira and Cornelius to study the corpse of a gigantic female ape that had washed ashore. The autopsy shortly began, and in time, Zaius was allowed to mount an expedition to Skull Island.
