"The Roaring Dragon, Chibi Anguirus" (轟音暴竜 ちびアンギラス is the sixth episode of Gōon Bōryū: Chibi Angirasu)Chibi Godzilla Raids Again. Written by Taketo Shinkai and Yuki Hirokawa, it aired on Japanese television on May 6, 2023. An English-subtitled version followed on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel that May 15.
Plot
In the mountains of Monster Island, Chibi Mechagodzilla is caught in a giant beartrap laid out by Chibi Godzilla, who claims to be teaching him about hunting. As Mechagodzilla pleads to be let out, he is sent into a panic by the sound of a giant monster's roar. He is relieved to find, however, that the roaring is coming from a fellow chibi monster, Chibi Anguirus. Godzilla explains that Anguirus' voice has already dropped, though this has the disadvantage of making him unintelligible to non-giant monsters; Godzilla claims to be able to guess Anguirus' meaning, but soon admits this to be untrue. Instead, Godzilla suggests they have the Shobijin translate for them, and some time later they appear on the mountain. Though perplexed by Mechagodzilla's still-ongoing predicament, the Shobijin agree that they can understand Anguirus telepathically. Despite this, the fairies relay a phony translation about Anguirus hitting on them, to which he objects with his arms crossed in an 'X' shape. After more dubious translations from both Godzilla and the Shobijin, Mechagodzilla suggests that Anguirus may've actually come to help him, but is embarrassed when the monster crosses his arms once more.
