My 10 favorite kaiju (in order from last to first)
- 10. Ganimes, I wanted this list to be mostly godzilla monsters, but I couldn't help but include Ganimes. He only got featured in Space Amoeba, and when he finally had a chance to shine in IDW's comics, they forgot to get the rights to him. To add to this, Gezora steals a bunch of love and people think of Kamoebas when they think underrated. In conclusion, Ganimes needs more love.
- 9. Anguirus, when most people think of Godzilla monsters, they think of Anguirus. He's a fun monster to watch and is seen by many as Godzillas right hand man. He's just a blast.
- 8. Dogora & Gabara, I Couldn't decide who to put here, so this ones a double whammy. Dogora, has the best method behind creating his suit hands down, and his origins and his looks make him fun to watch move across the screen. Gabara, now most people don't like this kaiju, but when I was little, I would always say Gabara was my favorite kaiju. That love has toned down over the years, but I still have that soft spot for Gabara. Gabara himself is a example of a good design, which, even though just being a redesigned Godzilla suit, is still great, and his electric abilities are unique.
- 7. Gigan, being a sadistic, rampaging, cyborg space chicken, it's hard not to love Gigan. He makes his first movie, which wasn't the greatest thing ever, re watchable, and his abilities add to his sadistic agenda. I honestly don't like the Millennium Gigan as much as the Showa version, but he's still great.
- 6. Destoroyah, what do you get when you through the oxygen destroyer, the devil, and crabs into a blender? Destoroyah. Destoroyah is a kaiju that makes his presence known. He's only ever been featured in one movie but he still rocks it, and is seen as one of the most iconic Godzilla monsters. However, his Godzilla Unleashed version is just pure OP.
- 5. Rodan, despite not being recognized as the main right hand man of Godzilla, I feel that Rodan is the best partner Godzilla has had in a movie. He makes his roles fun with his combat and his inital fight scene with Godzilla in Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster, is one of the best in the series.
- 4. Moguera,this monster is all over my page, so it might seem that they would be my favorite, but that's not the case. For the longest time, I didn't even like Moguera, I thought he was a boring monster. But this year, I got back into playing Godzilla Unleashed, and I decided to try out the characters I didn't like as much. Prior to that, I thought Moguera was a buggy mess of a character that slid like they are in an ice-rink, making beam locking nearly impossible since they'd just slide towards you and end it. However, I found myself rather enjoying playing as him, with his C tap attack being a blast to abuse. After that, I had gained respect for Moguera, and got the idea for my username.
- 3. Kamacuras, this is an example of a kaiju done right. He's a pure kaiju, but they make their on screen appearance worth it, and in Final Wars, he gets killed pretty quick, but he gets some new abilities
- 2. Mechagodzilla, this including all adaptations of Mechagodzilla, since all of them are good. Mechagodzilla is just a cool concept to think about, being the first doppleganger of Godzilla to ever appear. In each incarnation, it's cool to see all the cool weapons they've added in combat. Overall, Mechagodzilla is just a really good kaiju.
- 1. Hedorah, this is the type of kaiju I just love. His splitting apart gimmick was a newcomer to the Godzilla franchise at the time, and his pollution based abilities are cool. His main film is, in my opinion, the best Godzilla film. Overall, Hedorah is one blast of a kaiju
