Deplector is a fictional species of terrestrial crabs that first appeared in the 2005 film, King Kong.

Design

Female Deplectors are huge crabs with gray armor on their whole bodies, with 12 feet long antennae and 6 feet long claws. Males are much smaller than females, and are slightly bigger than newborn females, and they are small, pale, soft-shelled, and defenseless.

While the Venture crew members were fighting with the monsters from the bug pit, a Deplector grabbed a venture crew member with its claws and killed him inside the cave.
