Plot

After the eruption of The Great Mouth, the Atu Kong's enclosure was broken and they began to run wild. Luckily, Ewata was able to direct Valla into subduing them. Ewata had Valla keep the wild Atu Kong at bay while she had two of her other Kong, Tuno and Takani, get the people to safety. While attempting to subdue the final Atu Kong, Ewata accidentally killed one, before heading to the ships with the rest of both villages to find a new home. However, at the last minute it was discovered that an empty ship had gone missing, so as his final decree as king, the Tagu king stayed behind on the island on his word that when new land was found the ships would come back for him, along with the wounded who would heal better on land, and the shamans to treat them. Ewata then informed the people that the missing ship had set sail half full of Atu, and that the way the tides were flowing, they would be headed for Skull Island. They then set sail after them. Back on the Tagu Island, it was revealed to the sovereign king that the high shaman had sneaked aboard the ship where his instruments had already been loaded, and sent his followers to the wounded, but rather than help the sick, the shaman apprentices killed the king as a sacrifice to restore their people to greatness. On board the ship, Queen Usana beckoned K'reti down to their room, where the shaman used his artificial hand to destroy K'reti's internal organs and kill him so that Usana would have total control of the Taguatu. On deck, the missing ship was found shipwrecked on Skull Island with its passengers and crew lying in halves on the shore. Ewata then rallied the warriors and Kong to prepare for siege.
