Summary
Adventure! Godzilland was created to promote the upcoming film Godzilla vs. Mothra. It aired weekly from October 1 to December 24, 1992 on TV Tokyo. The show was designed as a trivia show, featuring clips from the film as well as cast members, including the actresses who portrayed the Cosmos. The show introduced a song about doing gymnastics called "Godzilla So-Fa-Mi-Re-Do" that played during several episodes and was even released on various albums. Each episode lasted about 15 minutes.
In 1993, Toho produced a similar show called Adventure! Godzilland 2 (冒険!ゴジランド2 to promote Bōken! Gojirando Tsū)Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II. This show aired weekly from October 7 to December 30, and followed a similar format to the previous show. This show was sponsored by Bandai and featured numerous advertisements for their figures for the film. Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and BabyGodzilla made live-action appearances on the show, along with several cast members. This series also notably introduced animated segments, featuring chibi kaiju based heavily on their designs from the 1984 Godzilland merchandise line. These animated segments would later be the basis for Gakken's Get Going! Godzilland OVAs.
