The Artificial Lightning Generator (人工雷発生装置 Jinkōrai Hassei Sōchi) is a superweapon that appeared in the 1964 film, Mothra vs. Godzilla. They are regular electrical pylons with Tesla coils attached to them.

Mothra vs. Godzilla
After the Sikorsky H-19 Helicopters dropped metal nets onto Godzilla, the generators shot him with bursts of electricity. They eventually failed when their wires overloaded and snapped.
