One B-29, Enola Gay, became famous for being the bomber that dropped the atomic bomb "Little Boy" over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, while a second B-29, Bockscar, dropped the atomic bomb "Fat Man" over Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. |
