The Boeing B-29 Superfortress "Enola Gay" in Frankenstein vs. Baragon

During the Second World War, an experiment into creating a biological supersoldier was carried out by Doctor Reisendorf in Germany, through experimentation on the immortal heart of Frankenstein's monster. With Allied forces closing in on the country during the final months of the war, Nazi soldiers confiscated Reisendorf's research and the heart. Transporting the materials aboard a U-Boat, the Germans made it as far as the Pacific Ocean before their submarine was struck by an Allied bomb, but not before they managed to transfer the experiment over to an Imperial Japanese Navy warship in the area. Making it back to Hiroshima, the Japanese prepared to continue the experiment, only for the B-29 Enola Gay to drop the "Little Boy" atomic bomb on the city, completely destroying it. Although it was thought that the heart had been destroyed during the destruction of Hiroshima, it turned out that the radiation from the blast had given it remarkable regenerative abilities, and in the following years, it grew into a mysterious child who wandered the rebuilt city's streets.
