Centipor is an insect monster that can't think, attacking its enemy without any sort of consideration for plans, strategy or the power of its foe. The insect beast also doesn't seem to know when to quit, its own death probably being the first sign to itself that it wasn't a good plan.

Another of the creations of Dr Demonicus, like the rest of its variety, Centipor was bound to the Life Stone, and needed to bask in its radiation frequently to maintain its strength. A mutated centipede, the beast was one of the evil scientist's weaker creations, falling quickly to the destructive strength of Godzilla when Dr Demonicus unleashed Centipor to defend his base from the radioactive dinosaur, who singed him to dust with the Atomic Breath after nearly being crushed to death by Godzilla.

Centipor is one of Dr. Demonicus's mutant monsters used to oppose Godzilla in the Marvel Comics universe.

Personality

Though peaceful towards his fellow Lifestone-mutated monsters, Centipor attacked Godzilla in tandem with them without hesitation.

Origin

Centipor was one of four monsters created by Dr. Demonicus, a geneticist driven mad after a radiation spill, along with Batragon, Ghilaron, and Lepirax. After obtaining a radioactive meteorite he called the Lifestone, Demonicus introduced an ordinary centipede to it, injected the arthropod with hormones made from its own altered cells, and exposed it to the Lifestone again.

History

Godzilla

When Godzilla followed Batragon back to Demonicus's secret base on one of the Aleutian Islands, the supervillain was housing his monsters inside the crater of a dormant volcano. A force field prevented them from escaping and kept them close to the Lifestone, without which they would perish after more than a few hours. Batragon soon broke through the force field and challenged Godzilla again, only to be swiftly killed by the King of the Monsters. As S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopters arrived to battle Godzilla, Demonicus planned to hold back his monsters until a victor emerged. However, a helicopter piloted by Gabe Jones and Dum Dum Dugan soon slipped past Godzilla and discovered Demonicus' base, giving him no choice but to unleash Centipor, Ghilaron, and Lepirax. Centipor quickly climbed to the top of the volcano to attack Godzilla, only to be swept aside and killed by a single blast of his radioactive fire breath.

Abilities

Physical abilities

Though he didn't get a chance to launch an attack before Godzilla dispatched him, Centipor would likely rely on biting and constriction attacks. Centipor's body can wrap about an enemy, crushing a foe in its coils.

Climbing

Centipor climbed out of his volcano home with equal swiftness as the eight-legged Ghilaron.

Durability

Centipor succumbed instantly to Godzilla's atomic breath.

Weaknesses

While the Lifestone can heal the monsters it created, Centipor and his brethren will die if they are separated from it for more than a few hours.
