The D.R.A.G.M.A.s (an acronym for "Democratic Resurgence Against a Global Mechanized Armageddon") are genetically-engineered monsters created by TriStar Pictures that appear in episode 1 of the second season of Godzilla: The Series, entitled "Future Shock."

Design

The D.R.A.G.M.A.s are navy green and resemble a cross between a Triceratops and a dragon. They have yellow eyes, neck frills covered in spikes, two front legs with three claws on each foot, one hind leg with four claws on the foot, two wings with three claws on both forelimbs, a beak, and razor-sharp teeth.

As infants, the D.R.A.G.M.A.s are small and have undeveloped wings. Their neck frills have four spikes on the top, and one spike on both sides at the beginning of their neck frills. They have two spikes behind their jaws and two tusks on their bottom jaw.

As adults, the D.R.A.G.M.A.s are much bigger and bulkier and have fully developed wings. The tusks on their bottom jaw and spikes on their neck frills are bigger. They lost the two spikes behind their jaws. They also now have a spike at the end of their tails.

Origins

The D.R.A.G.M.A.s were genetically-engineered by Jonathan Insley, to help make his goal of taking mankind back to simpler times and avoiding civilization's increasing reliance on technology become a reality.

History

Godzilla: The Series

"Future Shock"

In an alternate future into which H.E.A.T. was drawn, the D.R.A.G.M.A.s had wiped out all the mutations on Earth, including Godzilla, and overrun the planet, leaving only a few isolated pockets of human resistance behind. Determined to avoid this horrible future, H.E.A.T. traveled back in time to stop the D.R.A.G.M.A.s from ever becoming powerful enough to take over the world. They discovered that D.R.A.G.M.A. was an acronym for "Democratic Resurgence Against a Global Mechanized Armageddon," a project being worked on by scientist Jonathan Insley, who was obsessed with taking mankind back to simpler times and avoiding civilization's increasing reliance on technology. H.E.A.T. confronted Insley at his lab to inform him of the awful future his creations would cause, but the juvenile D.R.A.G.M.A.s were released from their birthing chambers and attacked them, Insley included. Thankfully, Godzilla arrived and battled the creatures. Since the D.R.A.G.M.A.s were not fully matured, they were unable to injure Godzilla or resist his atomic breath, and were all destroyed. After the D.R.A.G.M.A.s were destroyed, Dr. Insley was arrested, and the apocalyptic future was avoided.

Abilities

The D.R.A.G.M.A.s are capable of accelerated healing whenever they are injured.

Swimming

The D.R.A.G.M.A.s are adept swimmers.

Weaknesses

As infants, the D.R.A.G.M.A.s exoskeletons are not fully developed and are vulnerable to attacks.

Trivia

  • The D.R.A.G.M.A.s, when matured, are likely the most powerful monsters in Godzilla: The Series. They were able to wipe out all the mutations on the planet, including Godzilla himself, and could not be harmed by Godzilla's atomic breath or any of humanity's weapons. If H.E.A.T. had not prevented the D.R.A.G.M.A.s from maturing in the past, they would have likely been unstoppable and would have destroyed all other life forms on Earth.
  • The D.R.A.G.M.A.s' roar is actually a modified Heisei Godzilla roar.
