This article concerns an upcoming subject, and will be updated with new information as it arises.
This article covers the 2019 Godzilla design. For the 2014 design, see GareGoji. For the Godzilla incarnation, see Godzilla/Legendary.

The DougheGoji (ドハゴジ,   DohaGoji) is the Godzilla design used in the 2019 film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Name

"DougheGoji" combines the name of Michael Dougherty, director of Godzilla: King of the Monsters and creator of the design, and Godzilla's Japanese name, Gojira (ゴジラ).

Detail

The DougheGoji largely resembles its predecessor, the GareGoji, but features differently-shaped dorsal plates based on the 1954 design's,[1] a face with slightly larger eyebrows, a thicker neck, longer legs, sharper claws on the feet, broader shoulders, and a thicker tail with a round tip instead of a pointed tip. While DougheGoji's tail is officially longer than GareGoji's, it appears slightly smaller in proportion to the rest of Godzilla's body.
