The second of these was responsible for kicking off the ongoing Monsterverse franchise, for which Edwards' interpretation of Godzilla would reappear in one film by Michael Dougherty and two by Adam Wingard. A sequel to Monsters was also released shortly after Godzilla, entitled Monsters: Dark Continent, for which Edwards served as executive producer. He most recently directed the 2023 sci-fi thriller The Creator. |
