History

Post-Millennium Series

Shin Godzilla

After Godzilla destroyed several districts of Tokyo the previous night with the use of his Atomic Breath, he fell into a state of semi-dormancy. In an effort to determine Godzilla's status, the USAF and JASDF deployed a group of MQ-9 Reapers outfitted with cameras and bombs, to carry out a reconnaissance mission on the kaiju. While flying overhead, the drone detected that Godzilla's energy levels were starting to surge, and from the ground, the drone's operator made the unmanned aircraft drop its two bombs onto Godzilla. In response to this, Godzilla fired his Atomic Breath from between his dorsal plates, striking the drone and destroying it in an explosion. With Godzilla now starting to awaken, the time was right to initiate the Yashiori Strategy.
