One of the creations of evil scientist Dr. Demonicus, Ghilaron is the toughest of the children of the Life Stone, next to Batragon himself. The monster appears to be a cross between a lizard and some form of insect, and resembles nothing so much as the basilisk of myth and legend. Ghilaron was kept in the dormant volcano where the Life Stone meteor fell, until Dr. Demonicus unleashed his monstrous menagerie to destroy both Godzilla and the SHIELD forces that threatened his secret base. Unfortunately, the madman over-estimated the strength of his monsters, and, after a long duel, Ghilaron was defeated by Godzilla, who crushed the reptilian monster's neck with his bare hands and burned it to dust with his atomic breath.
