Ghilaron is a mutant monster created by Dr. Demonicus who appears in issues #4 and 5 of the 1977 Marvel comic series, Godzilla, King of the Monsters.
History
Godzilla, King of the Monsters
One of the creations of evil scientist Dr. Demonicus, Ghilaron is the toughest of the children of the Life Stone, next to Batragon himself. The monster appears to be a cross between a lizard and some form of insect, and resembles nothing so much as the basilisk of myth and legend. Ghilaron was kept in the dormant volcano where the Life Stone meteor fell, until Dr. Demonicus unleashed his monstrous menagerie to destroy both Godzilla and the SHIELD forces that threatened his secret base. Unfortunately, the madman over-estimated the strength of his monsters, and, after a long battle, Ghilaron was defeated by Godzilla, by crushing the reptilian monster's neck with his bare hands and burning it to dust by using his atomic breath.
Abilities
Ghilaron can climb sheer surfaces with ease. His eight legs give him a tight grip on opponents and his savage jaws are capable of locking onto an opponent and holding on until serious injury forces him to let his opponent free.
