In Las Vegas, Nevada, Godzilla arrives as the Cryogs are invading and the Counter-Kaiju Reaction Forces are trying to hold them off. Gigan, now upgraded and more powerful than before, along with the Cryogs, had just hours earlier been seizing Area 51 to free the Millennian UFO they created, which was being kept in the top secret facility. The Cryog strike team was recalled as the UFO could seek the energy it needed and Gigan would follow.

Several hours earlier, Gigan, now in an upgraded form and more powerful than before, leads a Cryog strike team as they storm Area 51 to free the Millennian UFO they created, which was being kept in the top secret facility. The strike team informs the Cyrog leader Rhizon that they'll have it free momentarily as Gigan opens the containment doors, allowing the UFO to escape. Rhizon orders the strike team to be recalled as the UFO will seek the energy it needed and that Gigan would follow as together, Orga and Gigan will destroy Godzilla. As the UFO and Gigan fly toward Las Vegas, the strike team informs Rhizon that they're heading back. He informs them that they can't afford any more failures and that while the Devonian assistance was helpful in this phase of their plans, their usefulness will soon end. He states that if their race is to survive, the planet must fall.

Back in present day, Gigan and the Millennian UFO wreak havoc on the city until Godzilla intercepts them, firing his atomic breath at the cybernetic monster. Gigan entangles Godzilla with his grappling hooks at Godzilla, dragging him across the ground and holding him down for the UFO to absorb Godzilla's energy. Nearby, Steven Woods asks for confirmation on who the "one that looks like a biker with machetes" was and Chavez says HQ calls it Gigan. Chavez states that it's the same creature from last time. Woods contacts HQ and tells them that if Gigan finishes Godzilla off, they won't last very long. When he asks when the new mech will arrive, MOGUERA appears and engages Gigan, firing its Spiral Grenade Missiles at him. However, Gigan easily destroys the missiles and tries hitting MOGUERA with his scythes. MOGUERA blocks the attack with its hands and drills into Gigan's left wing before slamming into him and shooting its Plasma Laser Cannons at the cyborg. After Gigan smacks MOGUERA upside the head, the robot tackles the cyborg into a pile of rubble. Woods checks on MOGUERA's pilots as the robot and dodges an attack by Gigan, his attack instead hitting the Millennian ship as it's still absorbing Godzilla's DNA. The attack causes a massive explosion and sends the monsters flying back as Orga emerges.

In the present time, Godzilla encounters the Millennian craft and Gigan, firing his atomic breath at the latter. Gigan fires his grappling hooks at Godzilla, entangles him, and holds him down for the craft to absorb Godzilla's energy. Nearby, Steven Woods asks for confirmation on who the "one that looks like a biker with machetes," and Chavez replies they do, and that it's the same one as before, Gigan. Just then, MOGUERA appears and engages Gigan, firing missiles at him. Gigan destroys the missiles easily however, and tries hitting MOGUERA with his scythes. MOGUERA blocks the attack and drills a bit of Gigan's left wing off right before hitting him and shooting its beams at him. After Gigan smacks MOGUERA in the head, it flies Gigan into a pile of rubble and dodges an attack by Gigan, his attack instead hitting the Millennian ship. It causes a massive explosion and sends Godzilla flying back as Orga emerges.
Orga closes in on Godzilla, but MOGUERA attacks and punches a hole through the alien's skin. Orga grabs MOGUERA with its massive hand and heals the bloody injury in a matter of seconds, much to Woods's surprise. Woods tells the MOGUERA pilots that they have to get out of there, but they tell him that they're buying his team time and that they have one last trick up their sleeves. Orga then rips MOGUERA into half. Godzilla approaches Orga and fires his atomic breath, but Gigan wraps around Godzilla's neck with his cables and fires razor discs at him. Godzilla pulls back, causing the discs to cut the cables. Godzilla grabs the cables and slams Gigan against Orga. Orga grabs Gigan and tries to eat him, much to the Cryogs' horror. Gigan stabs Orga through the roof of his mouth and uses his buzzsaw to sever his fingers, causing the alien to release him as he begins to regenerate. As Orga fully heals his injuries, the Star Falcon arrives and begins shooting at him and Gigan. Land Moguera surfaces from the ground and diverts Orga's attention, dodging one of his Shoulder Cannon beams. With Orga distracted, Godzilla begins dragging Gigan by his tail. Professor Allison contacts Woods and tells him that something else is inbound to their position, something that the scientist had kept secret and that "nobody believed it". The new robot arrives, catching everyone by surprise. Woods asks Allison what it is and the scientist tells him that it's complicated, but luckily for them, "he's on our side." Those that knew of this new creation call him Jet Jaguar. The new robot dodges Orga's fist and flies into the alien's mouth in his human size. Once inside his chest, Jet Jaguar changes size and becomes gigantic, causing Orga's body to explode.

Orga heads for Godzilla but MOGUERA makes a hole through his skin. Orga grabs MOGUERA and heals the bloody injury in a matter of seconds. Orga then breaks MOGUERA into two pieces. Godzilla approaches Orga about to fire an atomic blast, but Gigan traps Godzilla and fires razor discs at him. Godzilla pulls back, causing the discs to cut the hooks' wires. Godzilla takes Gigan by the wires and slams him against Orga. Orga then grabs Gigan and tries to eat him. Gigan punches his hook into Orga's upper jaw and uses his buzzsaw to cut Orga's fingers, setting himself loose. Right then, the Star Falcon arrives and begins shooting at both of them. The Land Moguera surfaces from the ground and dodges Orga's beam. Godzilla grabs Gigan's tail and drags him under his claws. Just then, Jet Jaguar arrives, catching everyone's attention. Woods asks Allison what it is, and he just responds that "he's on our side." Jet Jaguar then flies into Orga's mouth, human-sized, and changes his size inside Orga's chest to become giant, which causes Orga's body to explode.

"Two of a Kind" is the sixth issue of Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. It was released on November 27, 2013.

Description

The stakes have never been higher when an alien onslaught on Las Vegas reveals new weapons for both sides of the conflict! Meanwhile, Lucy has her own problems to deal with as two countries pit monster against monster, with her team caught in the middle.

Plot

In Las Vegas, Nevada, Godzilla arrives as the Cryogs are invading and attempts to hold the King of the Monsters off have proven useless.
