Godzilla vs. Godzilla was a 1994 film proposal by Toho production assistant Shinichiro Arimasa to pit Toho's Godzilla against TriStar's Godzilla.[1]

Plot

No plot details are known aside from the match-up itself.

History

Arimasa suggested Godzilla vs. Godzilla to producer Shogo Tomiyama as Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla was taking shape, shortly after Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio submitted their first draft of Godzilla to TriStar.[2] Though Tomiyama had no objections, Toho had already decided against making any films in which Godzilla simply battled another Godzilla. However, Arimasa would get his wish a decade later in Godzilla: Final Wars, where Godzilla battled the new monster Zilla, a kaiju that was almost an exact copy of the Godzilla design TriStar ultimately chose.
