Godzilla vs. NeoGodzilla is an early concept for the sixth entry in the Heisei series of Godzilla films, and a predecessor to what ultimately became Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla.

Plot

When Godzilla's cells are sent off into space, they give birth to a new, crystalline life form named CrystalGodzilla, who flies down to Earth to combat the original.

History

A film treatment sent in by the writer of Godzilla vs. Biollante, Shinichiro Kobayashi, this was the first proposal for the sixth Heisei film to feature a crystal-themed "space lifeform" which would face Godzilla, who represented natural life on Earth. This ended up being very important for future drafts, which ultimately resulted in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla. In this draft, CrystalGodzilla had three forms: a space form, a flight form, and the final one being a "mature form." This was likely the inspiration for SpaceGodzilla's flying and combat forms.
