Mutsumi enjoyed an extensive career acting in film and television productions that spanned over four decades. Mutsumi was a popular guest star on Japanese television series, but is perhaps most well-known for his role as Kuronuma, the leader of the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens, in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, as well as the character's successor, Mugal, in Terror of Mechagodzilla. Mutsumi also appeared in some of Tsuburaya Productions' science-fiction television series. Mutsumi currently works as a lecturer for the talent agency Theatre Academy, for which he also produces and directs stage plays. |
