Hirochika Muraishi (村石 宏實,   Muraishi Hirochika) was a Japanese writer and director best known for his tokusatsu works. Getting his start as an optical photography assistant at Tsuburaya Productions in 1967,[3] he transitioned into assistant directing in 1970 and made his directorial debut on OH! Kao in 1973.[1] Muraishi's first directorial position on a tokusatsu production was the 49th and 50th episodes of P-Productions' Electroid Zaborger.[3][4] He went on to direct episodes of numerous entries in Tsuburaya's Ultra Series, as well as Toho's Cyber Cop, Guyferd and The Gransazers. Muraishi passed away on March 28, 2022, at the age of 75.[2]
