Jellyfish Eyes Part 2, also known as Jellyfish Eyes Part 2: Mahashankh (めめめのくらげパート2マハシャンク, is an unfinished Mememe no Kurage Pāto 2: Mahashanku)kaiju film directed by Takashi Murakami and produced by Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. Principal photography took place in 2012 with most of the cast from Jellyfish Eyes, with reshoots conducted in 2013. Murakami suspended work on the film in 2020 with post-production still underway. His video series How I was Forced to Abandon the Production of Jellyfish Eyes Part 2 includes numerous completed sequences from the film.

History
Production on Jellyfish Eyes Part 2 began on August 1, 2012, before post-production on the first film had concluded, and wrapped on September 12.[1][2] Most of the main cast from Jellyfish Eyes reprised their roles. Reshoots took place the following year. The trailer, available on the Criterion Jellyfish Eyes DVD and Blu-ray, indicated that a significant amount of post-production work had been completed by 2015. However, on June 30, 2020, Murakami announced the film's cancellation on his Instagram, as the COVID-19 pandemic had brought Kaikai Kiki Co. to the brink of bankruptcy.[3] He has since released 12 videos chronicling the project's demise called How I was Forced to Abandon the Production of Jellyfish Eyes Part 2, though he remains hopeful that he may be able to complete it at some point in the future.
