Kamerus is a giant turtle monster who first appeared in Dark Horse's 1987 comic Godzilla, King of the Monsters Special, and later returned in

Kamerus' name comes from kame (カメ), the Japanese word for "turtle."
His name is only spoken in Godzilla, King of the Monsters #0, which included a retelling of Godzilla, King of the Monsters Special. Writer Randy Stradley later clarified that "Kamerus" referred to the turtle monster from that earlier story.[1]
