Plot

On spotting humans in his jungle, Kong becomes angry and roars at the intruders. This frightens Ann Darrow, who screams back, and in an attempt to quiet her, Kong picks her up and ran off. The remaining humans, including Jack Driscoll, then try to follow her but stumble into a valley which is home to a herd of Brontosaurus. However, several giant venatosaurs then come out of the forest and attack them. Some of the men flee, but Jack and some others escape the valley and make their way into a swamp, where a Piranhadon attacks their raft and Jack falls into the water. With the Piranhadon in hot pursuit, the man is able to get onto land and away from the swamp monster. However, on the other side of the swamp, the small crew is faced with a deep chasm, which they begin to cross by using a fallen log as a bridge. Kong then appears and shakes the log, causing several sailors to fall in, but one of the crew who avoided being tossed in, lowers a rope which allows the men to climb out. After being placed down elsewhere in a safe-seeming clearing, three Vastatosaurus rex emerge from the surrounding jungle. Ann shelters beneath some tree roots, and Kong arrives to rescue her. He soon beats his chest in triumph, but an Arachno-claw had sneaked up behind Ann and she crawls out of the roots to escape it. Just after she begins to run away, Kong grabs her, and decides to return to his lair. As he nears his mountain, Kong reflects on his loneliness, and his place as the last of the "great gorillas", but quickly roars and returns home. There he is met with a swarm of Terapusmordax, which he swats at and begins to fight. With Kong distracted, Ann sneaks to the cliffside and resolves to climb down the vines, only to be met with Jack, who had been climbing up them. They begin to climb down, but Kong begins to reel them back in. Apparently having escaped, Ann listens to Kong roar and knows that this would not be the end of her time with the last of the great gorillas.
