Kumamoto City (熊本市 is the capital city of Kumamoto Prefecture on the island of Kumamoto-shi)Kyushu, Japan.

Heisei series
Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla
While tracking SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla landed at Kagoshima and began to travel north through the island of Kyushu, eventually entering Kumamoto City. G-Force scrambled MOGUERA in order to engage SpaceGodzilla, but pilot Akira Yuki attempted to attack Godzilla. The other pilots subdued Yuki and regained control of the mecha, and after realizing that Godzilla was travelling straight towards to Fukuoka, where SpaceGodzilla had just landed, and the crew went ahead of him to Fukuoka to engage the space monster.
