Kuronuma (黒沼) was the supreme commander of the first attempt by the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens to conquer Earth using Mechagodzilla in the 1974 film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.
Personality
Kuronuma exhibits a brutal personality, on multiple occasions telling Mechagodzilla to kill Godzilla. It is not below him to use extortion and intimidation to get what he needs. He also seems to be a decent commanding officer, as he knows when Mechagodzilla can no longer fight.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla
After Godzilla arrived to stop the imposter Godzilla from destroying Tokyo, Kuronuma activated the monster to burn off the fake skin, revealing the machine, Mechagodzilla, underneath. After a brief battle, Godzilla was blown back into Tokyo Bay, and Mechagodzilla suffered damage in the head controls. Kuronuma then ordered his men to bring Mechagodzilla back to base for repairs, postponing the attack on Tokyo. Kuronuma then plans to use a human with knowledge of space technology to assist them in the repairs. They then capture Professor Hideto Miyajima, his daughter Ekio, and Masahiko at gunpoint, and bring them to their secret base. Kuronuma convinces Miyajima to help them repair Mechagodzilla, in exchange for his, and the others freedom. After complying, the professor demands they release his daughter and Masahiko at once. Kuronuma assures his he will do it immediately, but tricks the professor and traps him in the same chamber with the others. They then release intense heat into the chamber, to execute the three humans. However, they are rescued by Keisuke and Nanbara.
Mechagodzilla is then deployed at Okinawa Island, where it is opposed by the recently awakened King Caesar. Kuromuma orders Mechagodzilla to destroy Ceasar quickly, and a battle ensues. Nanbara, Masahiko, and Miyajima return to the base to thwart the aliens plans, but are immediately captured. During thr fight, Mechagodzilla is able to gain the upper hand, until Godzilla arrives for a rematch against his robotic counterpart. Kuromuma then orders Mechagodzilla to "beat Godzilla to death!".
A spectacular battle begins, Mechagodzilla using its various weapons against the two kaiju. However, the tide turns when Godzilla is able to transform his body into a magnetic force, pulling Mechagodzilla towards him. Kuromuma orders a immediate retreat, but Godzilla and Ceasar are able to pin Mechagodzilla, and repeatedly attack him, causing massive damage. Godzilla then finally tears off the Mechagodzilla's head, destroying it.
Kuronuma, astonished that the magnificent machine has been defeated, fails to notice Nabara free himself from the cuffs and sabotage the base's control console. Kuronuma is then shot and killed by Nanbara.
