London is a real world city in Europe, and the capital city of the United Kingdom. London features in multiple kaiju films, as well as in several video games, most notably Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, Godzilla: Save the Earth and Godzilla Unleashed.

History

The Lost World

Challenger accepts an offer to finance a mission to go to the plateau where dinosaurs still live after being ridiculed at the Zoological Hall. A year later, after returning from the plateau, Challenger is speaking to scientists at the Zoological Hall about his story and "living proof", the Brontosaurus. However, while being unloaded from the ship, the Brontosaurus escapes from its cage when the ropes break and rampages around London. However, the Brontosaurus ends up swimming away from London up the river Thames after collapsing Tower Bridge.

The Last War

Following the destruction of Tokyo by an Alliance missile, London was one of several other cities to be attacked in the ensuing war. A nuclear missile exploded near Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, wiping both landmarks off the map in addition to the rest of the city.

Destroy All Monsters

Manda was deployed by the Kilaaks to attack London, England. After attacking the city off-screen, Manda departed from London to join Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra's attack on Tokyo.

The Giant Behemoth

After the Paleosaurus became irradiated by nuclear waste in the northern Atlantic Ocean, it travelled to London to die in the fresh water of the River Thames. Its body gave off lethal pulses of radiation as it travelled, and it rampaged in London until Dr. Steve Karnes killed the Paleosaurus with a radium torpedo.

After Konga was injected with more of the growth serum, he broke out of Dr. Decker's laboratory by breaking the roof. He grabbed Dr. Decker and trekked through the streets of London, although he spared any further buildings from destruction. He approached Big Ben as soldiers arrived to take down the monstrous ape. With a barrage from their semi-machine guns and bazookas, Konga died, fell to the ground, and returned to his original form as a baby chimp, lying next to the dead body of his creator.

Gorgo

Gorgo was transported to London after being discovered off the coast of Ireland. Ogra, his mother, traveled to London to find him, and a battle between Ogra, Gorgo and the British military ensued. After destroying several of the city's landmarks, Ogra found and rescued her son from the enclosure he was being contained in, and the two monsters left peacefully.

When the Leviathan Aliens took control of Earth's monsters, they sent Crustaceous Rex to attack London.

"Monster Wars: Part 3"

The Crustaceous Rex continued its assault on London until H.E.A.T. severed the Leviathan Aliens' mind control. The British military proceeded to knock the monster unconscious, ending its attack.

"Future Shock"

In a dark future where genetically engineered monsters called D.R.A.G.M.A.s had overrun the planet, a battle-hardened Dr. Mendel Craven showed the rest of his time-displaced team footage captured by Victor "Animal" Palotti of the monsters attacking London. A damaged Big Ben can be seen in the background.

Dogora attacked London in September 2002, causing 3.9 million deaths. London was also the location of the Bilusaludo's first contact with Earth; fleets of their spaceships entered the Earth's atmosphere over the United Kingdom, and were observed hovering over Westminster.

Godzilla Singular Point

As monsters begin spreading across the planet, a school of Manda appeared in the Strait of Dover and began moving inland into the United Kingdom, traveling up the River Thames through London. With clouds of red dust appearing shortly afterwards, flocks of Rodan also began moving into the country.
