Major Spielberg (スピルバーグ少佐 Supirubāgu Shōsa) is a U.S. military officer who appears in the 1991 Godzilla film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. He is implied to be the father of real-life filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Name
Spielberg is named and referred to as a major during his sole scene in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, which is acted entirely in English. Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
Major Spielberg was stationed in the Marshall Islands during the Pacific War in 1944. When the Futurian time machine KIDS arrived from 1992, rocketing towards Lagos Island, Spielberg and his commanding officer concluded that it was extraterrestrial in origin. Major Spielberg offered to report the sighting, but his superior persuaded him not to, saying, "You can tell your son about it when he's born."
