Masahiro Yokotani (横谷昌宏,   Yokotani Masahiro) is a Japanese screenwriter. Yokotani has been active since 1996, primarily writing and handling series composition for anime series. Yokotani's first work on a live-action film came with the 2000 film Pyrokinesis directed by Shusuke Kaneko. Yokotani went on to co-write the screenplay for Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack with Kaneko and Keiichi Hasegawa the following year, and also wrote the screenplay for Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. with Masaaki Tezuka in 2003. Since then, Yokotani has primarily stuck to working on anime, both series and films, but remains very active as a writer to this day.
