The Mitsubishi F-1 is a Cold War-era Japanese fighter jet manufactured by the Mitsubishi Group, and the first fighter jet to be made in Japan after World War II. It is featured in the 1984 Godzilla film, The Return of Godzilla.

F-1s bombarded Daigoro's mother with missiles during her attack on Japan, to no effect.

The Return of Godzilla

After Godzilla had been sighted approaching Tokyo, several Mitsubishi F-1s were scrambled in order to stop him. The jets engaged Godzilla in Tokyo Bay, but their weapons had no effect against the monster, who quickly obliterated them with his atomic breath.

Millennium era

Godzilla: Tokyo SOS

Yoshito Chujo completed a model of an F-1 while vacationing in his uncle Shinichi's villa, extolling its virtues to his nephew Shun. When Shun brought the finished model to Shinichi, he was startled by the appearance of the Shobijin and dropped it. The fairies stopped its fall with telekinesis and handed it back to him.
