Mogranda (モグランダ,   Moguranda) is a drill kaiju created by Toho that first appeared in episode 16 of the 1973 tokusatsu kaiju series, Zone Fighter titled Terrifying Attack! The Garoga Robot.

Design

Mogranda is mostly cybernetic with his entire head, upper body, and tail being made completely of metal. He also has added body parts, those being a large drill implanted behind his neck and a long blade replacing his right hand. Mogranda was most likely originally a reptilian bird monster as evident by his beak and yellow scaled body.

Abilities

  • Mogranda can breathe a stream of fire from his beak.
  • Mogranda's drill can be used as a weapon.
  • Mogranda is able to burrow through the ground at high speeds.
  • After obtaining enough energy, Mogranda can breathe an explosive red mist. [2]

Roar

Mogranda's roars appear to be derived from some of Minilla's roars, although Mogranda also makes sounds similar to a rusty gate or metal being bent.
