Mr. K

Mr. K (ミスターＫ Misutā K) is a World War II veteran and leader of the Die Die Gang who first appeared in episode 4 of the 1972 NET/Toho tokusatsu series Warrior of Love Rainbowman, "Makao's Murderer Show". The manga adaptation of the series differed from the source material toward the end, and included a short sequence providing an origin story for Mr. K, and implying that the face he wore during the series was really a mask to hide his true identity and disfigurement.
He was further re-imagined for the 1982-83 animated adaptation as an alien invader who serves as the Die-Die Gang's Commander overseeing their operations in Asia. He is the only Commander seen in the series, and often consults with the gang's leader Emperor Dongolos on how best to defeat Rainbowman, and with Doctor Gilma on the creation of new technologies like the Devil Mechas.
History
Warrior of Love Rainbowman
Mr. K is a mysterious man who discloses no information on himself other than that he is a World War II veteran that abhors Japan and its people for the crimes they committed during the war. He soon bumps into Takeshi Yamato who finds out about Mr. K's plans and attempts to stop him. In order to destroy Japan and eliminate his new found enemy Rainbowman, Mr. K creates an army composed mostly of fellow veterans who share his hatred. Over the course of the organization's life, Mr. K enlists the help of multiple new faces including the witch Iguana and her monstrous creations, the assassins Malinda and Norma, Mr. K's own daughter Olga, the cyborg Pagora, the sorcerer known only by his title of "Master Sorcerer Death's Head Man", and multiple others. Together, the group formed six plans to destroy Japan including Operation Cat's Eye, Operation M, Operation Japan Annihilation, Operation Japan Isolation, Operation Cyborg Slave Corps, and Operation Tokyo Missile Attack which entailed driving the Japanese mad with a drug known as "Cat's Eye" which when used on humans drove them to kill, destroying the Japanese economy with counterfeit money, murdering Japan's oil suppliers and sinking oil tankers to deprive Japan of oil, murdering foreigners to give Japan a bad image, using a drug known as "Borg Alpha" to transform the citizens of Japan in to cyborgs, and destroying Japan with missiles respectively. However, Rainbowman proves to be no weak adversary as he eventually wipes out the entirety of the Die Die Gang, leaving only Mr. K to duel him. Although he puts up a good fight, Mr. K escapes and vows once more to torment Japan again one day.
Warrior of Love Rainbowman (anime)
In the animated reimagining of "Rainbowman", Mr. K became a loyal Commander of the Die-Die Gang's Asian division, putting him in charge of their operations in that area under the command of Emperor Dongolos, their leader who had left the reins of the organization in K's hands while sealed away in a stone prison by the yogi Deva Datta. He oversaw Doctor Gilma's creation of machines like the Devil Mechas and the Seinin Mecha mind control device with the help of three deputy commanders over the course of the series, Fairie Rosé, Major Heinz, and Pastel Petite.

"Mr. K's Secret"
After kidnapping Miyuki Yamato and preparing to harm her while disguised as a surgeon, Takeshi Yamato threw a slipper at K's assistant, which caused him to spill potent chemicals on his superior's face. This caused him to throw away his disguise and reveal his real face before putting on the wig and sunglasses he wore, allowing Yamato to recognize him as the leader of the Die-Die Gang. He revealed to Takeshi that thirty years ago, he had been a simple foreign businessman, implied to be American, staying in Japan with his wife, son, and daughter. They lived there peacefully until December 7th, 1941, when Hawaii was bombed by the Imperial Japanese military and the United States entered World War II. After this, K and his family were targeted by their neighbors, and he was taken away on suspicion of being a spy. He was tortured by the military, being beaten and burned with heated metal, which left him with a noticeable scar on his right eye. When he returned to his home, he found it destroyed, and his family gone and most likely dead. Years later he returned to Japan to begin his scheme for revenge that led to the formation of the Die-Die Gang.
