Nanometal

Nanometal (ナノメタル Nanometaru) is an extraterrestrial alloy created by Toho that first appears in the 2017 animated Godzilla film, GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters in the form of Mechagodzilla, and will play a more substantial role in the film's 2018 sequel, GODZILLA: City on the Edge of Battle.

GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters
In the year 2046, the Bilusaludo, in cooperation with humanity, constructed the anti-Godzilla superweapon Mechagodzilla from Nanometal in Hamamutsu, Japan. Mechagodzilla would have been employed for a final battle against Godzilla at the foot of Mount Fuji, however the mech was unable to activate upon completion. Before the Bilusaludo scientists could identify and fix the issue, Godzilla arrived at the facility, and forced them to abandon MechaGodzilla. Godzilla's victory lead to the United Earth's evacuation of the planet.
