P Godzilla vs. Evangelion: G Cell Awakening (Pゴジラ対エヴァンゲリオン〜G細胞覚醒〜,   Pī Gojira tai Evangerion: Jī Saibō Kakusei) is a Japan-only pachinko game developed by Bisty and published by Fields. It is licensed through Toho and khara, Inc. as part of the companies' ongoing Godzilla vs. Evangelion merchandise and media collaboration. It features an original crossover story between the Rebuild of Evangelion films and the Godzilla franchise. It was released in December 2022.

Story

Many years ago, Godzilla wrought untold destruction before suddenly disappearing, though humanity continued to fear him as the "God of Destruction." In the future, the secret agency NERV combats deadly extraterrestrial creatures known as Angels using giant humanoid weapons called Evangelion. In the midst of the battle between the Evangelion and the Angels, Godzilla suddenly reappears. NERV deploys Evangelion Unit-01 to battle him, but their confrontation is interrupted by the arrival of the King of the Angels: the Space Monster King Ghidorah. The three-headed monster boasts overwhelming power that is superior to both Godzilla and Unit-01, forcing them to work together to save the Earth. When even Godzilla and Unit-01's combined efforts are not enough, Godzilla uses his atomic breath to imbue Unit-01 with his power, physically transforming it into a Godzilla-Evangelion hybrid.

Trivia

• This game's story features a similar premise to Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4-D, with Evangelion Unit-01 fighting Godzilla before being forced to fight alongside him against King Ghidorah. While Godzilla features his 2016 design in both media, King Ghidorah is patterned after his 1991 design in the pachinko game rather than bearing an original design as he did in the 4-D attraction.
• In this game, King Ghidorah possesses a core on his chest in order to demonstrate that he is an Angel, which also allows him to deploy an A.T. Field.
• Evangelion Unit-01's G Cell-mutated form featured in this game originated as a 30cm figure released by X-Plus in 2016 near the beginning of the Godzilla vs. Evangelion collaboration.
