The Planet (プラネット号 Puranetto-gō) is a spacefaring exploration ship which appears in the 1994 theme park attraction, Monster Planet of Godzilla.
Development
Like its sister ship Earth, the Planet was designed by Shinji Nishikawa and modified from a small scale prop of the Garuda from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II.[1]
History
Monster Planet of Godzilla
The Planet was sent by the Space Exploration Station to investigate a strange green planet located at Space Point M-119. However, the ship was attacked by the planet's monsters and downed. The Station received distress signals from Planet a week later, and responded by sending another ship, the Earth, on a rescue mission to retrieve it. Warping to the planet, Earth fended off the attacking monsters, allowing it and Planet to escape.
Capabilities
Though the Planet's exact specifications are not detailed, it can be assumed that it possesses a similar or identical arsenal to Earth.
