"The Great Prophecies of Nostradamus") is a 1974 tokusatsu disaster film directed and co-written (with Yoshimitsu Banno) by Toshio Masuda based on Tsutomu Goto's 1973 novel The Great Prophecies of Nostradamus, with special effects by Teruyoshi Nakano. Co-produced by Toho Eizo and Toho Pictures, it was released to Japanese theaters by Toho on August 3, 1974. A heavily edited version of the film entitled The Last Days of Planet Earth was syndicated in the United States beginning in 1980. |
