Additionally, it was featured in the 1996 Gamera film, Gamera 2: Attack of the Legion.
History
Heisei era
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
After defeating King Ghidorah and the Futurians, Godzilla began rampaging through Hokkaido, eventually reaching the city of Sapporo. Godzilla approached the Sapporo TV Tower, only to be confronted by two MBT-MB92 Maser Cannons under the command of the JSDF. As Godzilla charged towards his aggressors, he fell through the street and became trapped, allowing the MBT-MB92s to relentlessly bombard him with Maser beams. Godzilla regained his footing and quickly obliterated the cannons with his atomic breath, then continued his rampage, eventually heading south.
Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla
By 1995, the Sapporo TV Tower had been rebuilt. SpaceGodzilla flew over Sapporo on his way to Fukuoka, causing arcade machines to malfunction.
Gamera 2: Attack of the Legion
The Legion had landed outside of Sapporo. A short time after, they took control of the subways, and later, erected a flower. Though the JSDF’s attempt to destroy the flower with C-4 explosions was ineffective, Gamera appeared shortly after, and was able to destroy the flower before it could detonate. The Soldier Legion swarmed Gamera, but were killed by an exposed transformer, which they had been attracted to, allowing Gamera to return to the ocean.
Not long after, the Mother Legion erupted from the ground and flew away.
