Description | Content |
Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | Satoshi Narumi (鳴海 聡, Narumi Satoshi) is a Japanese sōen (wire operation) technician. He first entered the Godzilla series in 1984 with The Return of Godzilla, working as an assistant to physical effects specialists Tadaaki Watanabe and Osame Kume. Beginning with 1992's Godzilla vs. Mothra, he worked as a wire operator on the drama unit of every Heisei Godzilla film, as well as all three entries in the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy. With the start of the Millennium series, Narumi transferred to the special effects unit, where his duties included controlling wire-operated kaiju puppets such as Mothra's, and hoisting both manned and unmanned kaiju suits.[1] He worked in this capacity on all of the Millennium films except GMK, for which he instead returned to the drama unit. |
