"Son of Minilla" (ミニラの息子 (むすこ)の巻,   Minira no Musuko no Maki) is the seventeenth overall episode of Godziban and the eighth episode of its Go! Go! Godzilla-kun segment. Toho's Godzilla Channel uploaded it to YouTube on November 29, 2019, with an English-subtitled version on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO channel following on December 17, 2021. It is a continuation of episode 12 of the series, "Fly at That Cliff!." A director's cut of the episode was released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on December 21, 2022, which was promoted through a limited theatrical run of the Godziban home video release's contents at Cinema Neko in Ome from December 16th through the 29th.

Plot

After Minilla falls asleep hugging Eggy, lightning strikes at the tip of a rock formation a short distance away, causing the Three Dorat Brothers to appear. They muse about wanting to eat an egg "in this time period", which they can only remain in for three minutes, before flying off. They hover above Minilla, waking him. Minilla tries to protect the egg, but the Dorats use psychokinesis to pull the egg toward them. He chases after the egg, eventually snatching it from the air and shielding it with his body. Unfazed, the Dorats simply lift him and the egg, slamming him against the ground repeatedly. They then collectively blast him with electricity, leaving him bruised and charred. Thoroughly beaten, Minilla loses grip of the egg, apologizes for failing to protect it, and falls to the ground unconscious.

The Dorats gather around the egg, but realize their three minutes are up and vanish into the timestream. At daybreak, Minilla reawakens and realizes that the egg has survived the night, running up to it and hugging it in tears. He carries it back to its nest and hears the sounds of crying while warming it. The egg soon begins to move and bounces out of the nest before hatching into Radon. They watch the sunrise together and are soon joined by Godzilla-kun and Little. The baby runs off frightened before the brothers can see him, but they notice the broken eggshell on the ground. He calls the monster back and introduces him to his brothers. Little recognizes him as a Rodan baby thanks to Grandpa Zilla. Radon embraces Minilla, calling him "Mommy," which the brothers laugh about.

The episode concludes with a Grandpa Hedo segment:

Young Hedo: “Hey, Grandpa Hedo. Why do people act so mean to someone they don't like?
Grandpa Hedo: “Well... That is because they see their true self in the person they don't like... and they cannot stand the thought of it.
Young Hedo: “Okie Hedokie!
Grandpa Hedo: “But when we are young, we tend to pick on the person we like for some reason.
Young Hedo: “Wow! Wow!
