They get the Cosmos back, but then Takuya steals them to sell on the black market for one million dollars. His daughter eventually convinces him to re-align his life and begin to think of others rather than himself. Godzilla vs. Mothra
Takuya is first seen being arrested for defacing an ancient shrine. He is later bailed out of a possible fifteen-year sentence by the Japanese military to investigate an island in Indonesia with his ex-wife Masako Tezuka, and a representative from a logging company, Kenji Andoh. On the island, they discover the egg of Mothra, and her guardians, the Cosmos. They take them and the egg back to Japan only to find that the Cosmos have been stolen and the egg had hatched. They get the Cosmos back, but then Takuya steals them to sell on the black market for one million dollars. His daughter eventually convinces him to re-align his life and begin to think of others rather than himself. He follows the Cosmos' demands and Mothra is driven out of Tokyo so that it could fight Battra and Godzilla. Takuya watches first hand the battle between the three.
