Is Catherine Berger an android?

Liuetenant Catherine Berger (U.S.), one of the pilots of Super Mechagodzilla. This is the account purported in some English-speaking kaiju academia:

A deleted scene would have revealed that Mechagodzilla pilot Catherine Berger was an android earlier in the film, adding weight to the "life against artificial life" line she delivers in the ending scene.

The supposed source for this is a deleted scene where she is in "low-power mode" and she gets called a "replicant" (android). She only moves when another character approaches her. She elbows him in the chest and then they go into the training simulation. But the seriousness of this is dubious at best. Could be a joke, could be serious. In an interview with the actress, she said she didn't know/recall much about the character to answer the rumor. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/447904076110495745/751256465611685948/unknown.png

Godzilla vs. The Devil

Here are the relevant pages from The Big Book of Japanese Giant Monster Movies: The Lost Films: Mutated Edition, suggesting that at one point the film was considered. I think there's enough substance here to give it a page again and lay out the information that's available.--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 16:07, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

Shin Godzilla's 'next forms'

This is a claim I see circulated every once in a while, even occasionally tied into the whole 'Shin Godzilla had a cancelled sequel' talk. It seems to have stemmed from an amalgamation of accurate translations of the Nikkei Science Journal's December 2016 edition and information made up to make it appear that Anno had more planned for Godzilla than he actually did.

These are the stated 'powers and abilities' that keep being circulated, even now:

    • Fifth Form
      • Acquired flight ability.
      • Self-division without limits, whole Earth was cover.
      • Divided forms shrinked in size and form a legion.
      • Became immune to the Yashiori Plan.
      • Losed algesia (sensitivity to pain) and emotions.
      • Self-generation of a completed form from a tiniest fragment of the body.
    • Sixth Form
      • Overcomed requirements of air and water to survive.
      • Achieved self energy productions.
      • Achieved limitless nuclear fusions and overcome energy problems.
      • Degeneration of the mouth and teeth.
      • Invaded outer space and reached other planets.
    • Seventh Form
      • Contained a small universe within its body.
      • Synthesized any materials and elements and made them its own.
      • Adapted to any environment of the universe.
    • Eighth Form
      • Transcended physical law and reached the "level of GOD" (and Immortality).

Obviously this is bad fanfic-level nonsense but it had been circulated for a really long time as being legitimate, up until somebody on Gojipedia provided what they claim to be an accurate analysis of that issue of the Nikkei Science Journal (if the page loads but doesn't go down to the comments, it's the very first comment thread beneath the article). I don't have access to the journal to verify, but the poster has provided screenshots which support what they are saying. I think this is one misconception that needs a deeper dive and debunking.
