Deletion?

I dont see why an entire scope page should be made for fanfiction if this is the only fanfic seems a bit overcomplicated to make an entire scope rule just for a single page that would get deleted here, every other piece of fan content with no regonition by any official source got purged and i don't really see this as any different nor do i understand why there is even a hold up.

Astounding just said that the scope rules for fanfiction haven't been worked out, not that an entire scope page will be created. And any rule worked out about fanfic won't just be for this specific page, it'll be for anyone who wants to add either other fanfic projects or their own.--Harryhenry (talk) 04:13, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
We have the fanon wiki for fanfiction, that doesnt make any sense to host others fanfics here.
Since we cover fan films, I don't understand the logic of a blanket ban on fanfic, though as before we'd want strict criteria. I do think it's worth keeping this page around as perhaps the only Godzilla fanfic to "break containment" and achieve recognition outside the fandom. As for others, we don't currently bill it as such, but I'd consider "2075: Meister Titano's Counterattack" a fanfic, even if Takayama was careful to rename the characters. There's also Godzilla '94, which was an unfinished fan comic until Terry Rossio paid to have it completed. An argument could be made for "A Space Godzilla" too... I know it was published with Toho's blessing, but I'm not sure if there was ever a contract. I'd also like to see a page listing people who have worked on Godzilla fan projects before or during their professional careers. Such a list would include John Carpenter, C. L. Werner, Dave Filoni, and Donald F. Glut, to say nothing of the folks who already have pages (Matt Frank, Michiru Oshima, Akira Takarada, Shinpei Hayashiya, etc.).--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 12:14, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
The story was entirely Written by CosbyDaf and has pretty much zero official relation with anything.
"I do think it's worth keeping this page around as perhaps the only Godzilla fanfic to "break containment""
That seems really arbitrary since fan films got removed regardless of regonition which no longer plays a factor in what was covered the only fan films left are either officially acknowleded or shared staff from an official product now since that is what the rules in regards to fan films say and i just dont understand why NES Godzilla, something with Zero Toho or Staff ties would be immune if those films wasn't or why the same logic shouldn't apply here.--
We kept Godzilla! despite the lack of staff connections or Toho acknowledgment because we felt it had "significant historic importance"; if we keep the creepypasta, it would be for similar reasons. I think the only Godzilla fan film to "break containment" like it has is Bambi Meets Godzilla, so if we were to add a provision like that to the fan film rules, it wouldn't change anything.--Astounding Beyond Belief (talk) 16:59, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
Late response but bambi vs godzilla played before godzilla 1985 that means official acknowledgement.
True but even before it was played before gogiler 1985 it was still pretty popular, it was even included in a book that list the 50 greatest cartoons of all time.(according to the author atleast)-Ultrman rides a dragon cuz yes
Zillaman, I don't understand how this refutes what I said. Yes, Bambi Meets Godzilla already qualifies for a page because of the Godzilla 1985 connection, so allowing fan films with "significant historic importance" to qualify wouldn't let in any new films. you didnt mention any official godzilla connection when you brought it up (which it has) that's why.--Zillaman98 (talk)
