The World of Kong states that the flying creature seen on the cover of King Kong: The Island of the Skull is Alatusaurus rather than Vulturesaurus. Since WoK was published by Weta Workshop who designed the film and WoK was released a month after Island of the Skull, I propose that the infobox image for Vulturesaurus should be its WoK depiction. --Collector1 (talk) 05:46, 11 February 2017 (UTC)

While I can see your argument, and they do look similar, the Alatusaurus, which, from my research anyway may be fan-generated monsters, not to discredit your argument or anything... Anyway, no Alatusaurus appear in the book, and the Vulturesaurus is arguably the most important monster in the book, so its spot on the cover is warranted. It is highly likely that the illustrator was simply misinformed and misrepresented the Vulturesaurus. This does not make it less a Vulturesaurus, as it is the original depiction. the page in question does not appear in the preview, but if you could send a picture we could make a better informed decision. Oh wait a minute! I see it now, using a different OS helped locate the image. Your evidence is irrefutable. Though it is strange why the main monster of the book was Vulturesaurus, and Alatusaurus was never mentioned, but it still ended up on the cover. I still think its error, but what can be done? The Boy Who Cried Godzilla (talk) 00:59, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
