"The Xilien Who Turned Red" (紅 (くれない)に染 (そ)まX星人 (エツクスせいじん)の巻 (まき),   Kurenai ni shima X hoshibito) is a special episode of Godziban which was broadcast at Godzilla Fest 2020 Online on November 3, 2020. It is an entry in the series' Go! Go! Godzilla-kun segment.

Plot

Minilla and Little introduce the episode from a broadcasting station.

The Xilien Leilei has captured and miniaturized King Ghidorah inside a bubble. Piloting a Xilien UFO, she now sets her sights on Earth's kaiju, easily bubbling Gorosaurus and Baragon as Anguirus watches. Meanwhile, Rodan brings Minilla a drawing Radon has made of him. As he continues talking with Godzilla-kun and Little, Anguirus arrives, warning them of the alien threat. Godzilla-kun starts yelling at the saucer, prompting Namikawa to launch bubbles at him and Rodan. They both evade. Next she unleashes King Ghidorah at his full size. Towering over the other monsters, he sends them flying with gravity beams. Godzilla-kun instructs Anguirus to find Young Caesar. Carried by Rodan, Godzilla-kun dropkicks Ghidorah off a cliff, but Leilei bubbles all three of them.

Anguirus finds Caesar sleeping; Miyarabi sings to awaken him. He flings Miyarabi on top of the UFO. Opening the top, she grabs Leilei and throws the bubbles to the ground. Leilei calls forth Ghidorah again. When Caesar reflects one of his Gravity Beams, he grabs Miyarabi and uses her as a shield. Leilei soon bubbles both shisa. Anguirus, the last kaiju standing, bites one of Ghidorah's neck. The larger monster flies him into the air and drops him - directly onto Godzilla-kun's bubble, shattering it. Awakening, he uses his tail to launch Anguirus at King Ghidorah, knocking him to the ground, then throws him around by his necks repeatedly. Ghidorah and Leilei retreat in the face of his atomic breath.

Anguirus and Godzilla-kun free the rest of the monsters. Godzilla-kun and Young Caesar butt heads again, but Miyarabi defuses the squabble. Godzilla-kun dances the shie as a red-faced Leilei vows to return.

Trivia

• Homages to King Ghidorah's Showa films abound. As in Invasion of Astro-Monster, Godzilla-kun, Rodan, and Ghidorah tumble off cliff after a combo attack by the Earth monsters and Godzilla-kun performs a victorious shie dance; as in Destroy All Monsters, Ghidorah flies Anguirus into the air and drops him; as in Godzilla vs. Gigan, Godzilla-kun throws around Ghidorah by his heads.
