Top of the World is the fourteenth episode of Kong: The Animated Series.

Plot

After a morning of surfing on Kong Island, Jason Jenkins, Tann, Lua, and Kong learn of an ancient manuscript with information on the Primal Stones is hidden in a monastery in the Himalayas. They stage a plane crash to insight sympathy from the secretive monks, but end up crashing anyway. The Monks accepted them, and Jason warns them of Ramone De La Porta’s imminent arrival to steal their information from them. The Monks insist that they need no protection, but thank the visitors for the warning. Elsewhere, Kong sees De La Porta’s camp and attacks it, but is chased away by grenades. After slipping off of a cliff, Kong fell into a cavern, the entrance of which had been covered by snow. He is then helped out of the hole by a shaggy, white, Kong-like creature. After observing one another for a brief while, Kong and the Yeti enjoy a brief skirmish which helps them to gain mutual respect for one another. De La Porta and his mercenaries led by a man named Rajeev, then burst through the monastery gates with heavy artillery, leading the monks to sound three immense horns to summon the Yeti, who bids Kong to follow him. The two fight off the invaders, but De La Porta forces Rajeev to merge with the Yeti to fight Kong off. Unfortunately, De La Porta gets away with the manuscript in the fight, and Kong leads the Cyber-Yeti over the mountains. Jason and Lua follow them by grabbing hold of a floating monk. Jason then merges with Kong to tip the balance in the fight, but the shock of an unexpected merger sequence sends Kong into a rage, creating Mega Kong. Mega Kong nearly kills Yeti, but Lua forces Kong to remember him and the Yeti’s friendship. With Yeti out of commission, there seems to be no way for Kong to get to De La Porta’s camp in time to stop him, but by tearing off the plane wing from their crash he snowboards down the mountain, and causes an avalanche that buries the camp. Jason then recovers the manuscript and Yeti and Kong then bid one another goodbye as Yeti goes to hide it where mankind will never find it.
