Quetzalcoatl would be more bird-like in appearance than Rodan, and there wouldn't even be much of a fight; just Mothra flashing her God Rays at him and spooking him off. It would kind of hint that she's an Alpha species as well that could command as much respect among the Titans as Godzilla.

You never know, maybe Legendary thinks those destruction scenes are a bit repetitive. I mean, how many American blockbusters have the same kind of city destruction over and over again? Don't get me wrong, it would definitely be nice, but still.

Or maybe they think we're just a little more sensitive to that kind of thing ever since 9/11. I mean, how many movies have destroyed New York since then? The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are ''The Avengers'' and ''Cloverfield''.


Personally, I took Serizawa's line as a bit of sarcasm on his part. Like there was an unspoken "of ''course'' I made that all up!" buried in there.
