Cite magazine template

I was getting ready to add some citations from Variety, BoxOffice, et al. to a page using the Wikipedia template for magazine citations; I realized the reference links are broken when trying this because this Wiki doesn't have its own template for this category. It's too technical for me to attempt doing myself so I thought I'd mention it to someone with more experience creating pages, templates, etc.

I'd really like to be able to add these citations if possible. Of course, it also opens up the possibility to using issues of G-Fan, Japanese Giants, and other old fanzines. Anyway, in the meantime, should I just hold off on those edits and citations until a template is in place or should I go ahead and add them now? Thanks.

We need to make a template but for now you can add them manually or use the cite book template and put the ASIN or magazine code in the ISBN field. I'll talk to Titanollante about making an actual template for it.

Thank you. Since these are articles from ~50 year old issues I'm not sure the current ISSN is authentic (ISSN was introduced in 1976. So I might just hold off until a template is in place. Or as you said add them manually.

why Wikipedia Template?, this website is only focuses on kaiju films.

VaderRaptor (talkcontribs)

You're saying they don't have articles on kaiju films?

Astounding Beyond Belief (talkcontribs)

More to the point -- why would our format for citing magazines look different from any other wiki? Do you actually understand what's being discussed?

The Boy Who Cried Godzilla (talkcontribs)

magazine citations could be useful if anyone can find anything in Fox Kids for GTS.
